Theme: Strictly come Speaking
You are invited to join this new and exciting event that IIBA-SA is trying for the first time. It will consist of short, sharp, focused and pertinent presentations relevant to the BA community. You don't want to miss out!
So what is different you may ask? Well, for starters each presentation is only between 5-7 minutes long, and secondly, no PowerPoint! And there's more, there will also be a Master of Ceremonies and 3 Evaluators to give feedback and guidance to the speakers! A win-win for all, attendees and presenters alike.
This event is sponsored by
If you have always wanted to test your presentation skills, and get ready for your BA Summit submission, then submit to present here first and get some great practise and feedback on your topic.
There will be guests to manage the proceedings, the invited guests are:
The Master of Ceremony is Eamonn Ryan, an entrepreneur with a background as a Product Manager and Business Analyst who has lived and worked in Ireland, the UK, France and Belgium before settling in South Africa. He will introduce the speakers and guide the proceedings for the morning.
The Evaluator Panel will be made up of these top three people:
Franco Ferreira is a business analyst working in the insurance sector (and current president of the Sandton Toastmasters club). He will be watching out for content and also for speech organisation / structure and will focus his feedback on those areas.
Katlego Thaba is a Corporate Actuarial Executive and technical member of the Actuarial Society of South Africa; he is a seasoned public speaker and has spoken in various settings including: Radio interviews at MetroFM & GLFM, MC'ing at Corporate Events, Book Launches & Weddings; Giving inspirational talks to corporate, university, school and church audiences. He will be focusing on effective use of body language.
Madeleen Engelbrecht is a Transportation Engineer at a global engineering consulting firm. She often presents at project meetings, professional institutions events and conferences. She loves a well structured presentation where the vocal variety and gestures support the storyline.
