About the speaker: Rabbie Maphakela


Rabbi started his analysis career as a lecturer in software development (VB.Net) in PE while doing his Masters degree in Information Security before moving to CPT to continue his analysis lifestyle. He is currently doing research to finalise a topic for his PhD and will be registering before the end of the year. He is passionate about solving business problems and ensuring the company benefits from the opportunities attained.

 
He has a total experience of 11+ years, in which he has worked in areas like Mobile and Desktop software product development, Testing, Business Analysis and Project Management. His industry experience includes companies that specializes in Online Gambling, Telecommunication, Insurance, Law and Education. He has delivered solutions for organisations in different countries as well (e.g. Saudi Arabia, Italy, Jamaica, Nigeria, Namibia to name a few), giving him an appreciation for having an open mind to every solution.
 
Additional, he works closely with communities in promoting educational awareness. He is the Chairperson of the family NGO that focuses on mentorship and internship programmes for ICT students currently studying at NMMU.
