About the Speakers

Danie van den Berg

Danie has been working as a Business Analyst for the past 16 years. He has worked in a variety of industries, from banking to media & entertainment and as a consultant is privileged to meet a variety of different people and challenges. These opportunities have enabled him to connect with people across various business domains and management levels.

His specialities include Requirements gathering & elicitation (ERP, Web & Android), Business Process Re-engineering, Workflow Automation and process optimisation. He has a keen interest in Business Process Modelling and also loves facilitating training courses. (Which he says keeps him on his toes). In 2013, he founded an Analysis consulting firm, which provides consulting services in the Business Analysis & Enterprise Architecture space.

He believes that the role of Business Analyst is generally misunderstood and underutilized.  BA's are ideally positioned in organisations to understand core issues and opportunities and then to assist in finding and communicating appropriate solutions and strategies.
